The Foundering of the Princess May

In the summer of 1910, the coastal steamer, the S.S. Princess May, is impaled upon reefs in the Lynn Canal at midnight.

Amidst black terror, a hero emerges as the Radio Engineer, R. W. Keller, new to the ship, fights all logic and descends into the bowels of the sinking ship as he struggles to concoct some method of sending an SOS from a vessel without power.

This short story recreates Keller’s terrifying actions that unforgiving night. The aftermath of this incident appeared on the cover of every major newspaper in the world.
