ANNA’S WISH

  • by

An Immigrant in the Yukon

A young immigrant is abandoned in Dawson at the height of the Klondike Gold Rush. She’s penniless and unready to be among 100,000 Stampeders. Circumstances soon force her to move the cribs of Klondike City to survive.

A gold miner strikes it big, and pursues the scarlet lady whose life could change if she gives up her old ways. She is pulled from her dark past for a while, but unknown and tormented memories lie in wait as she returns to the bottle for escape.

Don’t you want a better life?

Based on the true-life stories of Joyce Derenas’ ancestors, ANNA’S WISH explores life in Dawson in the early 1900s.
